DANIEL ETTINGER's SET DESIGN FOR DAMES AT SEA at rep stage
3/31/20 - Today, the cast & creatives of Rep Stage’s DAMES AT SEA were to begin rehearsals. Due to pandemic life, our production will remain unrealized, but I thought I’d give folks a taste of what might have been by sharing Daniel Ettinger’s delicious set renderings! #nauticalrealness
Hope everyone is doing well, staying home & practicing social distancing. I’m eager & looking forward to re-starting theatre life in the months ahead! Stay safe, folks! A special thanks to Dame Ettinger for allowing me to share his work!
REP STAGE CANCELS DAMES AT SEA
3/18/20 - While I received word last Friday that DAMES AT SEA, Rep Stage's Spring production (which I was set to direct), would be canceled due to health & safety concerns re: COVID-19, it has taken me a few days to process and find my way through the disappointment. Outside of the occasional Factory 449 production, my directing opportunities average a single show per year, so this announcement spanked me squarely on my theatrical derriere (no comments, please)!
My sincerest thanks, appreciation and regret to the cast, creatives & the Rep Stage production staff, many of whom had already begun work on the production. And a special thanks to Joseph Ritsch and Rep Stage for the care and professionalism they demonstrated in making and carrying out this difficult, responsible decision.
